Food safety, consumer protection, and uncompromising quality are our top priorities. We grant our customers transparency and traceability along the whole value chain: the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001 makes our processes from the purchase, the production, and the quality control up to the sale of the products transparent and traceable.
All the plants for fresh and cheese products are certified according to the product safety standard of the International Food Standard (IFS). For drying, quality management according to the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) is in place for the production plants in Jessen, Winzer and Zapfendorf. The FSSC 22000 is an international standard for the sector of ingredients.
As an important quality control, we operate our own central laboratory in Wang / Spörerau near Landshut, including a microbiology pathogenic laboratory with analytics capabilities.
We always have an appropriate solution to the diverse requests of our customers. We offer organic ingredients for the Chinese market which are additionally certified according to the organic regulation of the China Organic Food Certification Center (COFCC). We meet the nutritional requirements for ethnic groups by fulfilling the standards HALAL and Kosher which are accepted worldwide. In Germany, we meet the increasing demand for dairy products “without genetic modification” with certifications according to the VLOG standard at the sites of Jessen, Zapfendorf, Langenfeld, Landshut, and at the drying production plant Peiting.
Our BMI plants are regularly awarded silver and gold medals by the “Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft“ (German Agriculture Association, DLG) and were honored with the “DLG-Preis für langjährige Produktqualität“ (DLG prize for long-term product quality) several times. As a food producer, we feel especially committed to providing a consistent quality level, coupled with a continuous commitment to improvement.
